Hi every-paw-day! My name is Hank and I am a certified good boy. I am 6 years old and am newly retired from the hunting dog life. Since being in my new foster home this is what my foster paw-rents have learned about me:

Hank has been great with potty training - only one accident (and that may have been mom’s fault ‍♀️).
A preferred chew will keep Hank occupied for an extended period of time. He really enjoys bully sticks. He also enjoys wrestling with his blankets and playing tug of war with his toy monkey.
Hank is good with other dogs. It would be best if his furever home had another dog friend that enjoys running and wrestling. Cats are unknown at this time.
Hank walks nicely on a leash. No pulling for this guy unless he’s hot on the trail of a pesky bunny.
Hank is a very quick learner. While his foster paw-rents are eating dinner he curls up in bed and does not beg for food. What a good boy! He also knows how to sit and take a treat gently instead of jumping up.
Hank is a big snuggler. Personal space? What’s that? Hank enjoys being close to his people. Preferably in their laps or curled up with them on the couch, if possible. Sometimes he will cry a little if he feels he’s not getting the amount of loving he deserves, but overall he’s quiet for a beagle boy.
Hank is not a big kisser (licker) until you earn his trust. To receive a Hank kiss is the ultimate treasure. Then you know you’ve achieved best friend status.
Hank will go in a crate when he is home alone. He does tend to whine and howl a bit initially, but he is always asleep when foster paw-rents come home. He has earned enough trust to be out of the crate at night. He usually sleeps right next to foster paw-rents’ bed or on the couch if he’s looking for maximal comfort.

In short, Hank is looking for a “retirement home” of sorts, but don’t let that fool you -  he is a puppy at heart! His preferred home would have a fenced yard big enough to play in, a doggy friend or two, paw-rents willing to give unlimited belly rubs, and comfortable couches.

All animal breeds and ages are a best estimate
